Good luck to him, but got a feeling that it won't work out. I hope I am wrong, but not convinced he is management material.

Scholes named Oldham manager

Doesn't seem the type to succeed at management

Scholes knows how to win. Always vocal on BT Sport about how Man Utd should be playing.

I can see him getting frustrated at the standard of his players, it's alright having big ideas on how the sides should play (like Ole has) but you can only coach a certain amount out of the players you have.
Scholes could give a masterclass lesson to his CM's in how to play, but they won't be able to replicate even 25% of what he's said if they can't read the game well enough.
Must be frustrating for the manager in that situation, hopefully he has the right attributes as a manager/coach to be able to work at this level and get his ideas across in a way that can be translated to that division.

Scholes has been part of the ownership of Salford City going up the leagues. He will know about getting the right players in the long run as he knows a lot about football.

A problem that Hoddle used to have apparently.

Mike
Hasn't Scholes already been involved in coaching lower standard players at some level.

Not sure VC, think he was caretaker manager for Salford but only for a few games. Any involvement in one of our youth sides?
