Oh my...what a sad day this is.

Stored away I have a photograph of Gordon Banks, pictured alongside David Gibson and taken by Neville Chadwick at Filbert Street in the mid-60’s. Underneath the caption reads something such as “Will we ever see their like again?” That just about sums it up.

Gibson is better than Eusabio
and (insert opponents here) are in for a thrashin'

One perk of being an old git, is that at least I got to see him play. Old Warwick fox sums it up "greatest of them all'.

Very sad.

On a lighter note, there's a wonderful pic of him somewhere diving full length to catch a dog that had run onto the pitch.

The celestial onion bag will be a safer place.

Regrettably I never saw him playing for City-“live” that is but I recall the chant in circulation.
