Thoughts from tonight

Tonight could have been make or break for our season, so important that we got a result.

At times tonight the passing and moving was superb, but also seemed the ball was a magnet aiming for keeper's hands.

Thought Jansson was superb, Philips makes it tick nicely, can't see Douglas getting back in Alioski fitting in well there.

Thought Pablo was a threat, without quite having ultimate impact, Harrison was busy, but Bamford was great up front, running, movement, tackling, really kept their defence occupied opening space for others.

What to do with Roofe though, he's no longer in his right position and consequently looks out of sorts.

There is still the worry that despite possession we are not dominant if that makes sense, silly penalty and suddenly we're holding on to avoid a draw, there must surely be an answer to conversion from possession issue.

Overall, a hugely important result to restore self confidence, show the rest of league we are not about to be walked over and show Norwich that just because they beat us in the match, they're not necessarily going to beat us to the title.

Well done Leeds!

Cooper and pontus are both only 27 too.

They just keep getting better and could be our centre back pairing for years to come

I don't understand how you can be disappointed in anyone really. We are top of the league with 14 games left.

Gently off topic, but a great photo of the lads after the first goal tonight:

When Brown is fit I’d drop Roofe or Bamford. Roofe shouldn’t play in behind.

Completely overlooked Cooper in the article but actually he was really good too, not just as a defender but as a captain.

When TC let the players choose captain, Cooper's name was never mentioned by the fans and the decision was heavily criticised by the fans but it was brave management from TC and Cooper has delivered and grown in the role and the Cooper/Jansson pairing was superb last night.

Ayling will not be dropped. Roofe may struggle, needs to pick up his form.

Roofe could have had a better game if he didn't try and shoot every time he got the ball, plenty of opportunity to set up a team mate and get a few assists.

Douglas won’t get back in now, Alioski is playing out of his skin there

Been saying for a long time Alioski needs to be playing at LB
