Martial is mentally tough

Martial is a frustrating player. It looked like a lot of the jiggery pokery with the ex Mrs Martial really affected his form, so lack of mental toughness may be more the issue. He has flashes where he looks the real deal, then it all seems to fade again.

This narrative was pushed by Jose M. Martial's form was great before he was dropped in preference of a shiny new January signing.

Mourinho damaged his chances. I reckon it was marginal whether he'd have been picked in any case. There was serious competition for places.

Perhaps if Jose had a word with the French boss it might have been different....

The fact the op needs to explain to people why Martial did not get into the French squad is telling really of this place. Special people.

It's getting to the point now, where I'm about ready to stop posting altogether. I'm not the type to go back and forth with people for hours on end so what's the point.
