Fernando Llorente has done OK

in Kane`s absence, scored some vital goals, he is probably having his best spell since he has been at the club, came off the bench midweek, and more or less sealed the tie with Borussia, scored the winner against Watford. Like Sissoko he seems to have stepped up a notch this season.

Obviously not a long-term solution, but he has done what was asked of him, and fair play to him. Sometimes our squad players don`t always get the support or backing from us. But bottom line is if they wear the shirt, we should get behind them. I am not that keen on Trippier, as you all know, but once he puts on the shirt, I try as hard as I can to back him, but was pleased to see Aurier in the team midweek, and he had a decent performance, and added a peach of a cross for the second goal.

The squad players are getting us over the line, in the absence of players like Kane and Dele, so fair play to them.

7 in 20 this season. Not bad for a bit part, second string option.

I like Llorente's attitude - wants a new contract!
He's been treated as a second class citizen by the fans. But I suspect Pochettino knows better and treats him with respect.
He's an excellent footballer, lots of tricky moves and smooth passes, a team player. Obviously at 33 years he's past his prime when he was the top striker for Spain.
But he's stuck to his work and life is now good for him. That third goal in the Dortmund game could be crucial for us.
I say for Fernando!

Priority positions for new signings are right back and centre mid anyway. I wouldn't expect a new left back or centre forward, this summer at least, unless Llorente and Janssen both leave. Right back is unlikely too if only one of Aurier and Trippier leaves.

I'd say it's more likely Spurs will pick up a single centre mid in the summer. Any further signings will probably be entirely dependent on current players leaving first.

It was Pretty obvious Llorente needed more playing time to get in the rhythm of competitive matches. He barely played and when he did our fans expected him to hit the ground running and gel in straight away.
His confidence also knocked for six by the vibe coming from the stands and social media!
Mind you some of our fans wanted Dembele sold a few years ago and also dismissed Winks after his injury layoff
In Poch we trust
