De Gea

The Sunday Times have a report in their paper tomorrow that claims United are preparing a £90m deal for De Gea, and with him giving signs of wanting to extend his 8 year stay at the club, they seem confident he will sign it (who the fack wouldn’t?!).

I’m guessing that will be over five years, how much is that roughly a week? We’re gonna be having two of the highest paid players in the league at this rate.

Away from De Gea, the article says Woodward is really considering VDS for the director of football position. I would welcome that very much.

Don't forget the titan that is Lee Grant

Or Dean Henderson.

Gk, the only position we're stacked with class players.

Sanchez is a mistake in retrospect. He also cost no fee, and we got rid of the waste of space that was Mkhi in that. All relative to the situation in terms of wages. DDG is worth whatever it takes for him to stay

He didn’t cost a fee, but if you consider we swapped an asset worth money - that could have been sold - it still cost us money acquiring his signature.

Yeah it cost us £30m. Wasn't a free signing.

Mhki was a far better player for us than Sanchez will ever be. Was a cut above Lingard above too. Could have done with keeping him.

We don’t know what that transfer was valued at, but I’d be surprised if it were £30m as Mkhi’s value had depreciated. Cut above Lingard is a laugh. Lingard’s been a far better player for us than Mkhi was. In hindsight we could have done with keeping him, though. But not because he’s any good now, but because Sanchez is that bad and harder to shift.

Mkhi was nowhere near the standard Lingard has been playing at this season. Not even close.

Or last season. I don’t really get how anyone can come out with shiiiit like that.

Mkhi was terrible for us. No better than Sanchez in truth
