Wow, If you think your team was on the receiving end of a poor result (cough Chelsea 6-0) at City- then spare a thought for Italian minnows Pro Piacenza.
The Serie C Group A strugglers were beaten 20-0 - yes, that's twenty-nil - at league rivals Cuneo on Sunday afternoon.
They were trailing 16-0 at half-time, with Cuneo's Hicham Kanis scoring six goals before half-time, and fellow striker Edoardo Defendi getting five

Watched the game. Pro Piacenza were the better team. Anyone can get unlucky and lose 20 on the break.

Very very lucky, the officials were bent, the 19th goal was clearly offside.

Sounds to me like this whole thing was a deliberate ploy to get serious coverage, no reason at all why they couldn't get eleven people on the pitch but this way they now get global coverage and i suspect a handout or two will come along over the next few weeks.

It does seem a well balanced and fair league though, only these deductions so far this season.
Arzachena: -1 point (Federation decision)
Cuneo: -7 points (Federation decision)
Lucchese: -8 points (Federation decision)
Pro Piacenza: -8 points (Federation decision)

It was the strategy. They lined up 2-1-1-2 when any fool could see they shoulda gone the with the 3-2-1 to sure up at the back

Going by sheer numerical probabilities alone, I reckon we'd have a very hard time breaking their one-man offside trap.

Italian third division team Pro Piacenza have been thrown out of the league after fielding just seven players in a 20-0 defeat on Sunday.
All seven players to face Cuneo were teenagers, with captain Nicola Cirigliano, 18, doubling up as manager.
