Happened across this earlier showing Gordon Banks' save in Mexico.
Much better resolution and wider angle than I have seen before and really shows how much ground Banks made-up to get across his goal after the cross.

Not a bad cross from Jairzinho either.
I remember the 1970 world cup well and was mortified when West Germany beat us after we were 2 up. We should never have taken Bobby Charlton off.
Banks was so good that we expected saves like that, I wish we had someone as good now.

Not a wum but I genuinely do believe that Seaman's save against Sheffield Utd was better. Because it wasnt Pele in a world cup is why it's not as celebrated.
