Ole deserves the job

Yes, I think Poch would be the better option. Yes, I still have doubts about Ole long term. And yes, I’ve been wrong before.

But there’s nothing right now stopping Ole from deserving this job full time and the right to make chumps like me look like idiots. I can’t think of many managers who have started as well as this.

So at the risk of people (wrongly in this case) calling me fickle, I can still have the dual opinions of Poch being the best man for the job and also Ole deserving a chance to imprint his own ideas.

He might just be the manager to unite us all. The one the prophecy foretold us about 🖤

Really? Based on what? What the feck has he done at Spurs that's actually more impressive than what Ole has done with us since taking over?
Besides most United fans I know don't want a manager who prioritizes finishing 4th over winning major honours.
Just ask Wenger and Arsenal fans.
This is Manchester United. It's not no-trophy-since-the-midle-ages Tottenham

Ole must get the job

Yeah it was reminiscent.

It’s a lot more complicated than that

Fair post. I really rate Poch, but Ole can't do any better than he is doing. Plus he's one of us, and I like him too.

Thanks 52 - being one of us is important to me as well, and having Mick return with him was the right thing. We've tried outsiders and haven't done too well. I think it's about time the board makes the decision and starts making plans for a new dynasty. Appoint Ole and appoint a DoF (preferably one with a history here such as Edwin). We haven't had such a buzz here in close to a decade, as even Sir Alex's last few seasons weren't this exciting.

Thing is, I bet Ole’s remit is now to get top four rather than win the FA Cup. I’ve no doubt Ole will be looking to achieve both, but he’ll be under more pressure from the board to get top four, less so the fans.

Barring an all time collapse he will probably end the season with a 75% win percentage minimum.

You would almost be forced to give him a go in those circumstances. Only probably Real wouldn't under similar situation.

How can he not???

He showed more in 13/14 games, then Jose has in 2 1/2 years...

I have a feeling he's already been given the job, and it will be announced at the end of the season. Hopefully on the 26th May, after what happened 20 years previous

It does make practical sense to give him the job now if we’re going to do it. Nothing like feeling wanted by your boss. Also it would give him time to get his personal life all sorted out - is he living in The Lowry with his wife and kids or are they over in Norway?

I definitely think he should get the job and I think it would be a huge boost if he gets the job this week.

I don't even see room for debate. Ole is exactly what Man Utd Needs. Poch is class, but he's not got the aura that Ole has. The Man Utd board can not not give the Job to Ole.
