Biggest Game in English Football

between the two most successful English teams domestically and in Europe as well.

How we feeling about this one

Obviously important to both sides for different reasons given the battle for forth and the battle at the top.

both teams really need to win so it should be a good game hopefully

Injuries could play a part, we're see who lines up Sunday.

2-3 goal-fest

Think of a world where he loses football matches and then the dressing room.

In 4 months?

Nah.

Moyes was awful and he was nowhere near being sacked that soon.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

I know. He was also vastly more experienced and on a massive contract (which still hasn't run out amusingly).
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Well there’s no doubt in my mind you’ll be proven wrong.

I do think it could be like a Dalglish situation. Comes in and has a promising second half of the season, gets the job and then disappoints the following season. But who knows.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

And yet he lasted a whole season.

He may well do.

One tho g that will work in our favour is Liverpool don’t have a player like Marquinhos who can completely neutralise pogba. It’s a a quick win tactic for teams that have that sort of player. Pool don’t.

Well I was questioning the idea he’d be gone by December. There’s no real logic behind that.

I imagine it would be Fabinho if anyone.

Yeah won a trophy by Feb, got to another final and is probably our greatest ever player (he says it's Gerrard).

Yeah Christmas may be a bit soon tbf but it's just a saying in football really.

I like Ole though and as perverse as it sounds, as I hate Utd, I'm glad Utd are back to their traditions.

The midfield struggled for the 90 mins Elvis the injuries didn't change this.
-------------------

Sorry, but that is a load of rubbish. They had a lot more possession than us in the second half and still only managed to have 55% possession over the course of the game. Our midfield looked ok first half and it was an even game. They defended well and made 2.5 times as many clearances than us. We were applying pressure, but they stood up well to it. To suggest that the midfield struggled for the full 90 minutes is rubbish.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Nah your midfield did next to nothing in 90 mins. Anything good in the first half was done by getting it forward quickly.
---------------

Yeh, that's not true at all. Herrera was involved in both of our best openings in the first half, with Pogba also involved in one of them, bursting from the edge of box into the right wing position, before skinning his man. Had he not played to ball too close to Buffon we had a great chance to score.

Getting the feeling you didn't actually watch the game.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I watched the full game so your midfield did 3 half decent things in 90 mins, at home. Amazing return.

Sorry mate but it's not just me saying this either, anyone who watched without blinkers saw the midfield struggle badly. I watched that game with a keen interest to see how you'd cope v a top side and two things stood out where I see us hurting you. 1. We press you hard in midfield and stop the supply line to pogba and your midfield becomes very redundant in the game. 2. You played too high a line leaving huge space in the channels where we are extremley strong. PSG could have had more had they been more clinical in the final 3rd.

We'll see Sunday I guess

It’s going to a be tough game on Sunday, but I think Ole will have a game plan. It may not be pretty at times, but it will be created to gain a win at all costs. At present we don’t function as well as Liverpool do when they are in full swing. But that’s not to say that we can’t adjust our play to suit the match. I feel that of the two clubs that can show signs of adaptation, it’s United who have shown more ability in that. Now it will depend on how alert the team is a unit in getting that important win.

And no doubt that Ole will have made it very clear how important this game is for many reasons.

Bring it on!
