No, we didn’t put in a performance that we’d expect.

I expected a lot better from us today. We were awful in the final third and kept losing possession when we were transitioning to attack which completely shunted our momentum.

Everything was just way too slow.

We should have made a real statement of intent tonight and walloped them. We didn’t.

To have 22 shots on goal and score from an OG and 2 set peices against low-level opposition like this is not good.

We dominated, created. Went 3-0 up, even if we’d won 6-0 , it’s bate!. Don’t think it would send shockwaves throughout Europe. Just think you looking for a negative. All tonight was about was getting through. It was better than last week which was very poor.

All that matters is qualifying especially after last week

I’m not looking for a negative ffs, I’m commenting on what I saw.

The reason I wanted us to batter them wasn’t because I want other teams to fear us, but because I want our attack to flow better and look sharper. This didn’t happen.

It was an uninspiring performance against a poor side.

I obviously agree it was better than last week (although that isn’t saying much) and I am happy we’ve progressed, but we need to perform much, much better than that if we want to win this thing.

We are 3rd favourite after Napoli and Chelsea

Hmm, I think Sevilla and Inter Milan could beat us over two legs, though.

There's no standout team in the competition this year, but there's also not a huge disparity in quality between a lot of teams.

Rennes, Betis, Leverkusen, Dynamo Kiev, Zenit, Benfica, Valencia and Villareal would all give us very tough games.

We used to have Sanchez, Cazorla and Ozil playing together.

How have we allowed the quality to drop by so much

We must not worry about Leverkusen anymore. They are out.

A low tempo cruise through the game. Really rather boring.
