Transfer Ban Official

Well..looks like it’s actually happening:

The FIFA Disciplinary Committee has sanctioned the English club Chelsea FC and The Football Association for breaches relating to the international transfer and registration of players under the age of 18. Read more on @FIFAcom

With the ban at the moment being no registration of players for next two transfer windows.

As if this will make any difference, we shall appeal, waste money on whoever we buy during the appeal process so it's all just one big waste of time, will not affect this poorly run club any more than it should

Oh no - without high priced new signings how are we going to work our way back up to the heady heights of, er....sixth in the table? Honestly, we can't do much worse using the existing players on our books.

The bigger question should be (whether Chelsea's appeal works or not) who is running the club? Fans of all clubs can be a source of embarrassment (although Chelsea has had more than its fair share with racist and antisemitic headlines recently). But is there a club in the top flight more poorly run that Chelsea? Abramovich sacks his managers every year or two, but why does he leave the same board in place? Those are the people who need sacking.
