Whether Bamfords movement and height are presenting him clearer chances than Roofe remains to be seen just yet. What is clear is Bamford is missing easier chances than Roofe was. 2 headers and 2 right footed chances inside the 6 yard box all missed in the last 3 games

Bamford's preferred foot is his left, I believe, so am unsure about how then being right footed chances helps.

Bamford should have scored at least 1 more today (as well as the penalty) and probably 2. If we are honest he isn't match fit but we are so threadbare he is having to play. Pablo looked more like himself today and put some great balls into the box. I know good strikers are like gold dust but what I wouldn't give for reliable 20+ goals a season striker- who is not injury prone!

Absolute sitters

Bamford got the keeper to make a couple of good saves, took responsibility for the penalty, and had one chance at pace in the 6 yard box from which he should have scored. He has just come back after being out most of the season and was more involved today than at Boro.
He had more impact today than Roofe has had in the past month. Get off his back and get behind Bamford.

It did pop into my mind all them people saying bamford
Should replace roofe because we need a clinical striker

Missed a bag full last two games

Maybe but he gets in better positions than Roofe. The goals will come once he gets his sharpness back.

He’s much more of an all round number 9 than Roofe.

Having them both fit would be a godsend at the moment though.
