Getting tight at the top......

On the eve of the QPR game Leeds United is perfectly poised to return to the summit of what is proving to be one of the tightest contests in years.

I'm not confident of wresting all three points from Loftus Road tomorrow given our propensity for losing against "out of form" teams.

However, I've had a look at the fixtures for March including our QPR game and believe we can make some progress against both Norwich City and Sheffield United.

I believe we can take 14 points whilst Norwich City look certain to get at least 10 points and Sheffield United 9. No rhyme or reason just my predictions based on form and a largely conservative perspective on the Mighty Whites.

That would leave Leeds United on 78 points, Norwich on 76 points and Sheffield United with 73 points.

Even if this was to pass, we've still got a long way to go and automatics aren't guaranteed.

That said, we're still there. Still within shooting distance and still in control, we aren't yet completely dependent on other results to see us through to the "promised land".

Unlike the purists the bottom line for me is results. I don't care that we've not been playing to the best of our ability if we've picked up three points. Given Norwich City's and Sheffield United's results it was the least we could do. And we did.

We've got players coming back from injury & illness. We are, injuries aside, one of the fittest squads in town if not the fittest. We've paid out £200,000 for a dossier on every clubs' intimate training details. We should be an unstoppable force.......

I'm sure we've done enough for top six. If March goes the way of my predictions its a perfect foundation for the final push.

Given the restrictions that our budget presents, the number of injuries that our small squad has seen, Spygate and the over reliance on youngsters...., haven't we done well?

Leeds United, on and off the field, should be congratulated for the progress the club has made. Still more to do, on and off the pitch, but clearly huge strides in comparison to recent seasons.

Last 10 league games, Pablo's scored 0 and 2 assists. Hardly pulling up any trees.

Why aren't I a Leeds fan, just cos I don't see no wrong in the side? I've followed them all over the country, more than most on here. But there's so much bullshyte spouted on here it's unreal.

Saiz is my type of player, great work rate full of energy and always wanting to run with the ball and tricky. He also brought the best out of Hernandez.
