We could persuade Warnock to leave Cardiff

We could, but why would we want to?

I'm not keen on an interim appointment. If we have someone in mind, I'd rather we go all out to get them now. If that means paying extra compensation for someone who is in work, just pay it. Let's face it, we've wasted millions on bad signings. Why quibble about a few extra millions when we wasted £25m on Iheanacho?
If it is to be an interim, then Appleton would be the most logical choice.

It’s not necessarily the compensation Foxello, it’s timing. If it’s Rodgers they want for example, he may want to see the treble treble through. Worth the wait to get the person you beleive can execute your plan - yes on my view.
Not saying rodgers is the man, just the example of where waiting may be required to avoid another Puel appointment.

At a time where the fans and players are divided, I think Pearson would make things worse. Some fans would turn on the hierarchy and that’s the last thing we need right now.
Appleton is actually a very very good interim suggestion.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I can see numerous reasons for picking Appleton, but I repeat, what if he makes a success of it? The clamour will be for him to get the job permanently - so do you reckon he'd be a good choice for the future?

No reason, wouldn't necessarily make him our manager.

I've only read that he's 'been given permission' to speak to Leicester?

They had a reporter in Glasgow on the local radio confirming it's more or less done and he will be at the game tonight.
