Interesting article.......

Or just silly paper talk........?

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-6744535/Leeds-sold-fail-win-promotion-Premier-League.html

The Daily Mail has never been an ally to Leeds United. I remember a rather biased report when we beat West Ham United during Wilko's promotion campaign which undermined everything we stood for. Never bought that paper again!

We've invested heavily in this year's campaign. For those not convinced of AR's intentions perhaps this does go some way to confirming that promotion is the target. However, I don't believe we are heading towards TOMA #273.

I suspect the 49ers might well see an opportunity to increase their stake and/or those far eastern investors might be tempted to the table too. I'd even go as far to say that both parties might be tempted to invest if we go up.....

Thoughts?

All credit to AR for putting his money where his mouth is when appointing Bielsa. But not backing that up by strengthening the squad during the transfer window is reckless.

Any signing can be said to be a gamble for various reasons. Nobody has a crystal ball.

Yeah - it's a bit like hiring Lewis Hamilton and then sticking him in a Prius.

For the record, this was actually raised about 5 days ago When Phil Hay responded to questions:

As I’ve said before, it was announced that it was a two-year-deal with a one-year option, but many people who know him in Argentina have said it’s a 12-month contract that could be extended to two if they get promoted.

“And I have to admit, I don’t think Bielsa would stay for another year in the Championship. If it [promotion] doesn’t happen I can’t see him being here next season.”

So, firstly we have to go up, secondly they need to ensure they do better than loaners who contribute nothing, letting players go and not replacing them or if we did go up I could Bielsa leaving if he feels he’s being messed about.

A bloody fast Prius as we were top in Jan in which the last 13 season's leading team got promoted.

“And who is the ones who are behind but seriously we don’t have time and energies for your mind games. We have more important daily biz to care in @ElevenSports (profitable and successful in most to the markets in 3.5 years!) and @LUFC . Good luck to sell few more papers”

I don’t know about you, but to me nothing screams I’m not rattled more than writing three tweets in a row about something
