BBC Bielsa

A good read on the bbc football home page about Marcelo Bielsa. Makes a recent change to have some positive journalism about the Club.

Super article, thanks for sharing.

Some things that stood out for me:

"and mostly because he received assurances from Radrizzani, Orta and Kinnear that whatever Leeds would promise, they would deliver. That was the most important thing, bearing in mind he had been given promises that were broken while at Lille and Lazio, two short-lived adventures.

It tells us much about the man. With Bielsa it is all about personal relationships and mutual trust."

Really, really hope that Bielsa doesn't feel that promises were made and not kept here.

"On Wednesday it is 11 v 11, with the preferred side playing against those aiming to break into it and sometimes one of the substitutes shines and earns a place in the starting line-up."

I love this philosophy and it's how we work out our tennis teams, the incumbents having to prove themselves against the challengers.

These are still early days as those at the club come to understand him deeply and to realise that his philosophy is based on how he sees life, not just football. I am not sure that has fully reached those who Bielsa is trying to influence and help. But it will."

One would have hoped that after this time everyone would be bought in. I'm assuming it's players being talked about, maybe medical team?

"What he does know is that he will only be able to achieve what he wants from the players if he loves them. Anything else will not work."

What a difference to Bates, Gwynn Williams, Warnock and Cellino. It is the right way to try and get the best out of people.

MB is very unique not only as a coach but also the way he conducts himself. We have had the pleasure to see him at Leeds united. Hopefully he can get us promoted. Even if we don't get promoted we have been privy to some fantastic background of football coaching.

He has been fantastic for the club.

He is doing a great job and regardless of where we finish he has to be here next season.

Interesting and largely positive views. Let's hope we can kick on this Friday and get Leeds back where they belong......
