Rose Yellow Vs Torreira Red

How is one a yellow and the other a red?

I think both were yellows and unfortunate yellows at that. Obviously those Torreira ones are given as reds half the time these days despite winning the ball first and Rose has every right to go for that its just unfortunate what it led to. The ones on keepers like that are often looked upon more favourably as you're usually stretching to score a goal or something.

Either way denying and booking players from winning the ball just cause of follow throughs is bad for the game imo.

Yep both terrible challenges Rose has got away with one there.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Torreira actually got the ball and caught Rose on the follow through iRose’s one on Leno was more of a red imo
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Doesn't matter he got the ball it's still studs up/dangerous tackle.... Moan about rose not getting a red by all means... But don't your lads wasn't also a red.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You're missing the point that he was only going for the ball and Rose was nowhere near him when he stretched his leg to claim the ball. Rose actually caused the contact himself (late) by entering the challenge.

No. Sorry not having that it was a bad challenge... Even if your point was valid still no need for his tacking leg to be that high.

He took the ball first and Rose missed the ball completely due to his lateness which is why there was contact full stop, maybe you should watch it again in slow-motion.

Rose should have already been sent off for a straight red or an accumulation of yellows by this point:
A) Dive (should have been a yellow)
B) Foul on Mkhi (should have been a yellow)
C) Foul on Leno should have been his second/third yellow or a straight red.

If Anthony Taylor was actually worthy of being a referee than Rose would never have been on the pitch at that point and even though he was, Torreira's challenge was certainly not worthy of a red if Rose's challenge on Leno was only a yellow considering it was worse.

Not disputing Rose on keeper shouldn't have been a red thou am I.... I'm saying both were reds.

Torreira's was a yellow for me but have seen both yellows and reds given for that enough times.
