Celtic My Celtic

I have had a few drams cos I think I'm worth it

I drink to the following, and the many others I no doubt miss out.

Bro Walfrid & the shipyard labourers, joiners, and foundry workers who

built the first Celtic Park after their day’s working shift.

Maley, McGrory, McStay.

My hero Jimmy ‘Mighty’ Quinn.

Lads like Johnny Crum who walked to the stadium among the fans

from their tenement homes.

John Stein.

Los Leones de Lisboa.

Connolly, McGrain, Hay, Dalglish, McStay, Tommy B.

Our incredible fans who still turned up during trophyless seasons

while Rangers ruled Scottish football.

And who then boycotted & organised to get rid of the White Kelly mob.

Fergus.

O’Neill, Lubo, Henrik, Stan, Lennon.

The mere sight of the Hoops stirs something in me that my long ago and

totally faked Degree in English Lit cannot articulate.<swoon>

‘Mon the Hoops.

Let my OP be a lesson to a' you young shavers.

Don't start a thread when yer maudlin & half cut.

In ma defence I had just spent a joyful hour or so in the company of

John 'Lisbon' Clark - a Prince among men.
