Match Fixing in the Premier League

Ref was shocking all afternoon, mostly in Arsenals favour. The pen awarded to arsenal was a joke.

worst reffing performance I have seen in a long time. made poor decisions both ways.

arsenal certainly got most of the decisions, and he only added on 1 minute in the first half when arsenal were time wasting for half of it.

ref from the NLD needs investigating.

shocking all day, capped off with the joke decision to award arsenal a penalty at the death, which fortunately they completely bottled.

Yep he does as he should have sent 2 Spurs players off. Poor linesman not flagging for Kane when he was offside for the pen. Then our pen should have been retaken due to Jan encroaching which allowed him to make that block. Spurs got away with murder that game no question about it at all!

he should have sent xhaka off for the tackle on Kane first half - absolutely no attempt to play the ball... knee knee studs up from behind.... and obviously torreira then rightly got sent for his leg break attempt on danny rose.

awful display of timewasting from the 30th minute, and dirty tackling from arsenal and it didn't pay off.

Ref had to give you a goal and Torreira wasn’t intentional(unlike Sanchez) also he got the ball unlike Rose

No idea what these deluded Spurs fans have been smoking. All neutrals have all said how awful ref and officials were and how Spurs got away with murder.

Each day that passes allows Spurs fans creative minds to twist reality a little further in order to soothe their egos... In a weeks time they will remember it as nothing more than them being robbed of 3 points in a game which they deserved to win 3-0 and not a single decision going against Arsenal when that really couldn't be further from the truth.

You're clutching at straws if you think Xhaka deserved red, it was a bad tackle but no ref would ever give more than a yellow card for that, no pundit or ex professional referee has actually said that should have been a red - just that he was lucky to get away without a foul and a yellow. Sanchez' goal line stamp on Koscielny that was completely ignored was repulsive though and deserved a straight red. Rose should have been sent off for diving + the foul on Mkhi from behind, even before his assault on Leno which deserved a straight red in its own right.

In response to the comments here. You are naive if you have sat there watching years of dodgy decisions and still think the Premier League is squeaky clean. Where big money goes - corruption follows in all walks of life and the football industry is no different.

Look at the few cases of corruption that have actually made it to the surface in recent years, Seph Blatter who was head of FIFA was majorly corrupt and then there were the Serie A match fixing scandals too.

Match fixing does not need to be about gambling, clubs could be involved ensuring they win Premier League titles or Champions League trophies with the help of referees and things such as: "Fergie Time" and years of the same few clubs getting 12th man assistance spring to mind.

Even things you may have forgotten such as Van Persie being sent off for kicking the ball away against Barcelona when we were leading the tie raise serious questions in my mind. Especially considering most non-Barcelona Spanish supporters largely agree that there has been significant pro-Barca corruption for many years now.

We live in a very corrupt world, there is absolutely not a chance in hell that the Premier League has always been consistently clean. Whether it's money passing hands in secret through friends or family members or even bars of gold, or threats being made to referees and their families, it has happened and it will happen again.

How much of the truth will ever come to the surface is hard to say for sure, the old boys club that is the FA do a good job of covering it up in general and there's no doubt in my mind some of them have been involved and continue to be.

Its been well known for years that the FA want teams who make them money to win things. Thats not the biggest clubs, not the ones with the most fans, or even the ones with the most money. Its all about what they make.

If you go back to when Leicester won the league it was proven that Arsenal should have won it but wrong decisions cost us the title. Leicester winning was "evidence" of how competitive the PL is. That was when the PL put their foot down on anyone publishing the table showing how it would look if refs got everything right..

A few years ago I said if I won the lottery or something I would love to take the PL and FA to court and sue them for not treating all teams fairly. having all their decisions scrutinised by the courts would no doubt prove they favour some teams.

Michael Oliver performance v Leicester ? definite smell to his performance that day.

Imo, the stuff mentioned in op and decisions in derby are less to do with match fixing and more to do with unconscious or conscious bias for spurs and against arsenal.

Proof of this is how the respective teams are treated in media. Spurs are lauded by media and pundits for finishing 3rd and winning no trophies while arsenal were ridiculed for the same. The excuse that gets used for different treatment by media and pundits is that its because we used to win the league and have dropped whilst spurs are on the up but you don't see Newcastle/Leeds or Leicester ridiculed after their falls from grace.

Spurs are full of England internationals and golden boy himself and therefore get away with murder. Behaviour and opinion from media and pundits normally feeds down to ref's and fans. Kane is seen as an honest boy due to pro media perception so gets away with diving and cheating constantly. Compare to Eduardo going down easily once in his career against celtic. Media backlash was intense and actually led to the first and last time a player was banned retrospectively for diving (arsenal successfully appealed after presenting evidence)

Arsenal were seen as having a soft centre so games against Stoke Birmingham etc we would get kicked off park but perception would be its OK because its arsenal. Media fans and subsequently refs would buy into this altered state of reality. Influence was so strong even our own fans would buy into this alternative reality.

On a side note, the delusion from spurs fans is unbelievable and actually scary. Your only goal was illegitimate. Auba pen was exceptionally soft but was missed anyway. Thats the end of it. Only legit goal was ours so it should have been a win for us. Kane shouldn't have even been on the pitch after his headbutting antics ffs . Danny Rose was a disgrace with his constant diving and studs up challenge. Don't even talk about Sanchez stamp that we all saw but he obviously got away with. Toreirra got sent off for his studs up challenge

After all the above how on earth can you say spurs got the raw deal? Sheer delusion

Kane attempts to headbutt Azpilicueta = ‘Seen’ by referee. No further action.

Sanchez deliberately stamps on Koscielny = ‘Seen’ by referee. No further action.


It is clear as day there is corruption within the FA. Things are obviously not dealt with, with equality and fairness to all 20 teams.
Surely the people within the FA are childhood supporters of certain clubs this turning a blind eye to certain things.

I wish they could be investigated!!
