I’ve always been a fan of Kasper in the past. Not just because of his obvious ability, but the overall way he conducts himself. I’ve always assumed he’s a leader within the club. He’s always had good shot stopping ability, which makes up for some of his other weaknesses. People will point to his poor distribution against Watford, but forget his outstanding saves against Brighton and Palace. Most of all I'd got him in the class of ‘best LCFC could get’ as better would probably be with a top six club.
Others have consistently been more sceptical (Nev). He’s never been the best at commanding his area and isn’t the tallest. My main worry, currently, is that poor distribution. How often in games does he boot the ball into touch surrendering possession or cause a buttock clenching moment with his poor clearances?
He’s been undisputed number one for a few seasons now and mostly with no real competition. My question is: should we now be considering an alternative? and, if so, who could we realistically pursue that would come here and be better?
Is it time to give Ward a chance? or should we try and attract somebody like Jack Butland who would surely be looking for PL football. Is it just safer to stick with Kasper who has been a really good servant to the club and is a PL winner?
Or is Andy Lonergan the better goalkeeper as Leeds fans insisted when we bought him? 😯
Please discuss .......
Is it time to change goalkeeper?

We do have an interesting blend of Liverpool and Celtic fans following our board since BRodgers came in.
By the way Joby, how are you pronouncing BRodgers? Is it Bee Rodgers, or Brodgers?
On Kasper, I think he remains our number 1 keeper and works with Rodgers to adapt his game. Let’s not forget Kasper’s distribution was hailed as a weapon at one point so it is there. It’s just like the calibration has gone wrong!
If Kasper can play the way Rodgers wants with his feet then he should stay in goal. Some of his saves in recent weeks have been incredible. Let’s not forget that.
But if he doesn’t adapt them I’m all for Ward getting a shot. I don’t think he’s quite good enough, but he’s young and could have improved from when I saw a lot of him at Hudd.

If memory serves it was Kasper's long and fast throws that worked? He is either getting bad advise or has no DVR to re watch the ball constantly going out of play when he kicks it or Chillwell needs a bloody ladder to head it!

Lots of kicking long to Vardy and Mahrez too. Needs to forget that approach now!
It’s gonna be his short distribution that will be interesting to watch. That’s what rodgers will want.

There's certainly an argument for giving Ward a chance, although Kasper has pulled off some excellent saves recently. In Wes's absence he's also been made the captain on the pitch so that probably indicates it being an unlikely move.

Seen his goal in training? Maybe he’s the strike partner for Vardy we’ve been looking for!

Yeah strike partner sounds good but he would have trouble leaving the six yard box! Lol
