Eriksen/McManaman/Sanchez

Watched one of those Sky programmes on PL scorers the other week and it was Fowler. So many of his goals were set up by McManaman. Seemed like something like 80%.

What a finisher Fowler was too. Embarrasment of riches for English strikers back then. Shearer, Sheringham, Fowler, Ferdinand, Cole.

Barca offered 12m for him at the time - a huge sum! and he didn't go.

Yeah he got over 25 assists one season I think.

Fowler was ridiculous and I think a lot of people forget. Banging in 30+ goals for three consecutive seasons as a teenager was mental.

He makes corner delivery look like the hardest skill in the world. I'm sure it is difficult but I've never seen someone fail so regularly to get it above the first man.

He wasn't signing a contract extension so the club decided to sell him. Cant fault the club for that.

But you can fault McManaman?

I dont see the difference tbh but whatever.

I wonder if not getting a corner past the first man is actually a good thing, Beckham was certainly praised by all for doing similar.

Yup.

Why not sign a one year extension and then move for a fee?

Club that nurtured him since he was 9.. misses out on an equivalent of £80m transfer fee now because he wanted to pad out his bank account.

Fack him.
