I certainly don't think our second goal can be considered luck. Rashford struck the ball very, very well, in a way in which it's always difficult for GK's to deal with, and Lukaku did what good, instinctive strikers are taught to do from childhood... Follow the ball in! Nothing really 'lucky' in that, in my view.

Our first was a lack of concentration by their defender in playing the ball blindly back, but then so was their goal; Bailly did what Bailly is prone to doing - switching off completely (both for playing their man onside, and then being completely oblivious to Bernat).

Rather than luck, I'd say each goal was careless defending met with good clinical attacking.

What he wrote isn't wrong, they would have been trying to force these errors. The luck came with Buffon spilling one and the right back buckling under the pressure they applied.

I still maintain that neither the 1st or 2nd goals were lucky and I can prove it.

Boringho should retire to the Bahamas and enjoy his millions. It is mental what that guy did to these set of players. This guy had our own fans believe this team is not good enough for top 4. He also went around saying archiving 2nd with this group of players is one of his biggest achievement, implying we should’ve never come 2nd. This team has kept pace with Liverpool and City sinceOle took over, same players.

People really underplaying Lukakus first goal, still had a lot to do and took it very well, after being more alert than the defender marking him.

Mbappe had a similar one v one situation and failed to round DDG in the way Romelu did to Buffon.
