We got a fantastic result today and you have to be amazed at how this team keeps coming up with the results. Bielsa looked disconsolate after the QPR game, but 6 points against 2 top-six teams shows what we are made of. You can see how Marcelo has forged the spirit of this team and that was especially evident in the second half today. We know, and he knows, what he is going to get from his players
In this context, I am puzzled about Brown. There were two substitutions where Brown could have come on, for Bamford or Klich, but he was not chosen. Does anyone know why Brown is not getting the chance to play?
In particular, when Bamford came off, I thought he would come on, with Roberts playing up front, but Dallas came on instead. From that moment on, we lost our shape and composure and, if Bristol had taken their chances, we could have dropped points.
It just seemed like a good time to bring him on and give him the responsibility to hold up the midfield and take some pressure off Pablo.
Every game is a cup final and the pressure is going to keep building. So when is good time to bring him on? And if you're not going to bring him on, why have him on the bench?

Bielsa clearly rates Dallas. He is a man of good taste.

Dallas seems quicker, hungrier and sharper. Brown should have got minutes when 3 up against WBA in fairness but I wont be losing any sleep over lack of Brown playing time

I say send Brown back, because he must be absolut sheit.

Brown's performances in the Development squad suggest he's good enough. I'm sure Bielsa has enough about him to make the right decisions about his selection.
Time will tell to determine Izzy right....

Thought the substitutions yesterday didn't work, I can see why Pat Bamford came off, the knock on the goal was causing issues and we need to protect him but Douglas and Bera served only to unsettle the side. Wasn't the right game to bring Shacks on either so I would have just left it as it was after Dallas came on.

Dallas coming on was the obvious choice.
He has been excellent from the bench recently and he is an example of the sort of player you need on the bench, someone who can come on and do a job to help see a game out.
Dallas coming on made sense
I really want brown to come good, particularly when you consider the injuries he had, but I think with ten games to go it's not going to happen for him here, best thing we can do for him is keep him fit and wish him well for his loan next year.
Shame really, cause I still think there is a good player there.
What I do think our subs show us is that we were missing a holding midfielder on the bench today, forshaw would have been the obvious to come on and I don't think we would have lost our shape as much had he been able to come on.

If Brown plays, it won't be a good thing for us because we'll be chasing a game. We won't see him unless we are losing or need a winner.
I thought he could add something and still think he could. But if he doenst play the next 10 games, it means we have got promoted and not been desperate.

I actually tend to agree.
Think his time is done and unless he does something special it’s hard to imagine him being here next year.
We have Dallas and Shackleton coming off the bench, add to that the option of also moving alioski into midfield by bringing on Douglas and roofe to come back from injury and Roberts stepping up fantastically.
All those factors to me make his chances of success here to appear limited

The signing was a risk. If it paid off we would have one of the best players in the league for the second half of the season. Doesn’t look like it will work out anywhere close to that at the moment. I feel for the lad because he doesn’t look the same player. Whether it happens for him at Leeds or not, I do hope he does find that form again.
If Clarke and Forshaw get fit again for Sheff Utd then I think it’s Gotts and Brown that miss out on the bench. And that’s without Roofe back.
