so they are still in fa cup and Champions league and you would expect them to progress to next round in both .
assuming they do then their fixture list is terrible and I cannot believe that they will win all their league games as they are playing every 3 days through out April .
fa cup semi are 6 April so their Cardiff league game will be Brought forward (cant go back in case they progress in CL and then they would have no mid week slot available )
then they have-
CL on 9/10 apr
palace A 14th
CL 16/17 apr
tott H 20 apr
utd A 24 apr
burnley A 28 apr
CL semi ?? 30 apr
leics H 5 may
CL semi 7 may
Brighton A 12 may
so even if they get knocked outCL at qtr stages they will still have to deal with 9 pretty intense matches in 30 days in April . if they win all that lot then they deserve the league
I have them down to draw at least 2 - Utd palace spurs being the tricky ones .
any more injuries and their squad depth becomes challenged
for us we have a decent run and yes we might have mid week games ,but we have a full squad fit now
so I think its looking pretty positive
citys fixture congestion

Most of our players are internationals. Including international breaks our squad have been playing twice a week all season, barring last week, the gap between Bournemouth and Watford was the first time the players have had a week off since August.

so they dont get mentally or physically tired then ?

Of course they do, but so do Klopps teams, famously.
We are in a privelidged position where we can rest anyone getting leggy and still field a side capable of winning games.

Got two teams of 11 that would win/finish top 3 in the league. Don’t think fixture congestion is a massive issue for them.
Top of the league despite missing Kdb,Mendy, Fernandinho and others over the season
----------------------------------------------------------------------
yes but last time they had players out and a lot of fixtures they dropped points , don't see why it will be different this time and matches are tougher and honestly they aren't playing that well at the moment, fair enough they are winning but they look tired to me. recognise that all sounds glass half full ,but thats how I see it

All that you’ve said applies to Liverpool currently. Difference is these city players have been here before. Could be the difference

We’ve spent a lot of money, but that’s put us in the position to genuinely challenge on four fronts each season.
Aguero or Jesus up top
Sane, Sterling, Mahrez or Bernardo out wide
Fernandinho, KDB, D Silva, B Silva, Foden or Gundogan in CM
Four CBs.
The only area we have been a bit exposed is FB. But if we fail in any of the three remaining competitions we’re playing in, given what’s been invested in the team I wouldn’t want to hear a congested fixture list talked about as an excuse. The club have spent money to handle that.

agree the squad is strong , guess at the min you have issues with 4 key players and need them back or the depth does get exposed . ie midfield you only have 2 silvas + gundongan.

The reality is city have "rotated" quite consistently through the season so sterling sane and mahrez are all fit now.
Aguero v jesus hasn't been as good for city due to availaibilty of jesus first then aguero but again thats there.
They are where they are but you can still red line players and drop off the edge very quick.

lets talk reality
CL on 9/10 apr assume they will be there. could be porto or could be barca who knows
palace A 14th - mixed results... very mixed thye are not out of trouble so its a little hurdle
CL 16/17 apr - as above
tott H 20 apr - spurs have imploded. this is AFTER CL qf second leg and spurs will prob use that as excuse not to try.
utd A 24 apr .... god knows. should be tough as hell but utd were awful v arsenal
burnley A 28 apr - burnely are still in it right now.. not sure they will still be come this game. It'll be a physical game
CL semi ?? 30 apr who knows who
leics H 5 may - easy... even easier not rodger sis in charge.
CL semi 7 may- who knows
Brighton A 12 may certainly look to still be in trouble. depends by this date if cardiff have got within 3 points.

Only Utd and Chelsea have had better form since the new year. Seems a bit lazy to say we're struggling. City have been excellent though.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Surely Arsenal and City have had better form than Liverpool since New Year too in the league?
Have Chelsea really had better form than Liverpool since New Year?
I would say United City and Arsenal have all been better in the league this calendar year than Liverpool not Chelsea

And Foden. City midfield is easily the strongest in the PL
