No issues from me, and I am happy to own up

that I am very impressed with Liverpool and how they have grown in my estimation not only because they have been very hard to beat but also because they are setting the benchmark for how to take it to the next level.

Well done Liverpool, I have no problem in praising you

I hope Spurs emulate them. Spurs are up there but needs to push harder to attain the same levels.

I hope Liverpool fans realise that we don't just dish it out, but recognise when a praise is due

Let's stop our in-forum squabbles, and let's talk about the future.

The future is very rosy for Klopp and his merrymen and so it is too for Spurs and with the advent of the new stadium being ready soon.

I first thought the spurs and Liverpool rivalry was just on this board but it seems to be a social media phenomenon.

does it?

I've seen no evidence of that

For Klopp & co maybe rosey.
For Spurs and their new stadium, a big big question mark!
Spurs will need a competitive team to play in it........and that will mean Levy buying a number (I think 6) new players next season.
And they can't be El Cheapo's like Aurier. Spurs will need top class stuff, expensive unless MkDons have something new to offer......
Will ENIC lay out the cash .... very very doubtful.
Best hope...... the Billion dollar stadium is window dressing for a sale .... to someone who wants a club and wants to win stuff with it.
I just hope the Levy & Lewis days are over.
And Spurs fans can look forward to actually beating the top clubs.
Lets just hold our breaths a moment and watch how this seasons CL quarter finals work out!

Ridiculous article, if Liverpool win the league it ruins football. Only a team bought by a billionaire regime of oil wealth can save football

Fair play OP

I know that myself and a lot of other Liverpool fans have been impressed with spurs over the last couple of years and have said that openly. But this season a lot of us said it was a mistake not to make any purchases and I think we have been proven right. I'm starting to wonder if you need to cash in big on someone like Kane and spend the money wisely like we did with coutinho. Otherwise you could find a slow drip drip loss of some of your better players without the funds to turn things around. Would feel like a big loss of all that progress you have made.

Wow. Best thing you've ever written

The Spurs/Liverpool thing appears to be dying down a little bit at long last, hopefully it stays that way

Although you just know we'll be drawn together tomorrow and it will all start over again

this

or when you throw a 10 point lead away and finish second in a one horse race
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Was it ever 10 points?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I think the most we have been clear of second is nine points, that was when Spurs temporarily leapfrogged City who had a game in hand, which they won to keep the gap at seven. So really the most it has been is seven.

How the fack we have allowed ourselves to go from being on the heels of city and Liverpool to being 12 odd points behind is a disgrace. So amateurish

That will likely get wider as we go to anfield next
