MAtip has done well Goofy, and I'm not a big fan of Matip but defo feel he has played well in the past month.

Was just talking about Matip with a mate. I have always rated him over Lovren but any money Lovren walks back into the side once he is fit again which I think would be harsh. Matip skooled Lewa on Wednesday

Yeah not hating on Matip and is definetly a good player to have but feel Gomes has that bit extra to him in terms of pace and strength.

His passing out from the back is excellent as well. He is not like a rabbit caught in the headlights like Lovren. He is direct and mainly plays forward balls instead of sideways

Agree as well. I feel though his positioning can be somewhat better when clearing the ball. Prior to bayern game he had some other moments in games like Burnley were his clearance nearly ended up as own goals. But yeah def better than lovren

Even if Ox is 100% fit then he won't be match fit for a little while I wouldn't have thought. And it's common for players to pick up little injuries when making their way back from a big injury.

Would love to see him involved but think it'll be a periphery role for him this season.

I love it when he does this. Looks so awkward and the opposition players don't know how to tackle a giraffe

100% fit as in ready to start getting some gametime i assume, will take a while to get back up to speed

Matip is reliable and has done little wrong but I would prefer to have Gomez back. Since Gomez has been missing we look like conceding a lot more than we did when he was playing.
Ox won't play much this season but having him back will boost the squad as he seems to be a likeable character.

Having Gomez and Ox back will be like new signings but only downside is it'll take many games for them to get back to full speed - by then the season will be over.
