Fair play to Fulham, let's hope they put as much endeavour into playing city as they did playing us. Their play was much better than their league position suggests....full marks to them.
Imo we were always in control until...milner slice (1st mistake)...VVD waiting for GK (2nd mistake)....VVD poor header (3rd mistake)...and a simple goal for babel who fair play to him didnt celebrate.
Top of the league ...international break now then it's Spurs at home, let's keep rolling on
Btw....everyones allowed one Virg....just ask spiderman....no more now!
3 mistakes = 1 goal...phew got away with it

Salah is clearly struggling. Maybe resting him for a few games is the solution. On issue is even an off-form Salah causes problems and creates space for others

no chance, salah plays when fit

Salah has got a nice two week break now as Egypt have rested him for the internationals. Hopefully he comes back refreshed and a new mindset.
We aren’t going to win anything with him playing the way he is currently. He talks regularly about winning trophies so he needs to give himself a kick up the ass as he’s letting the team down at the moment.

3 mistakes, one goal, and 3 points.
could have been worse

Milner horrible slice started it. VVDs header was poor, but Allison should have been brave and used his hands rather than his feet.
We still won the game and unquestionably deserved to do so.
I was more concerned performance wise with Salah. In recent league games, not including Bayern, he's been incredibly greedy imo, which has negatively impacted our attacking play. It reached new heights today. He needs to sort himself out. Its not the Mo show.

I'm glad it wasn't just me thinking it. A couple of 3 on 1s squandered now because he wants to end the goal drought. Silly shots from everywhere, when he should just pass.
Goals will return to his game, needs to just chill and play for the team again.

agreed, he needs to learn that if the team are getting goals he will get his eventually in the same game as the opposition throw caution to the wind.

One of the things with Salah this season is teams are doubling up on him so its far harder for him to get into goal scoring positions, in turn they are leaving Mane with more freedom and he is punishing them in ruthless fashion right now. Salah is still contributing a lot, his shot got us the pen, he set up Mane's third goals vs Munich. He still gives us a lot when he doesn't score just the expectations of him are so high. He probably needs to calm down in his head and stop thinking about where is next goal is coming from a bit but apart from that he is still playing well and most importantly contributing to us scoring goals.

i don't think its so much other teams doubling up on salah that's his problem. he just seems to lose the ball easier this year how many times did he take on 2 or 3 defenders and score last season.
today he had a poor first half but did much better second half. i agree he doesn't have to score to still be effective but maybe milner should have given him the penalty today to take off the pressure.

i have to say fulham were atrocious, we were astonishingly lax when we mentally should know wahts needed. when champions get a side like this they put 2 or 3 in then control game.
City are actually even more cruel and put 8 or 9 past teams like this
i kind of hope city's excesses in CL and league cup etc comes back to bite somewhere and their destruction of poor teams ends up costing them somewhere,
