Ospina collapsed during Napoli game

Arsenal goalkeeper David Ospina was taken off on a stretcher after collapsing during Napoli's Serie A match against Udinese on Sunday.

The Colombian, on a season-long loan at Napoli, suffered the initial head injury when he collided with Ignacio Pussetto early in the match.

He then fell to the ground shortly before the break after Udinese levelled at 2-2 having been 2-0 down.

Hopefully Dave will be alright

Just seen the video footage. Ancelotti and everyone else involved should be sanctioned for this.

Fack me, we've seen people die in situations like this.

Thankfully Napoli have said he had a CAT scan which was all clear. He’s staying in hospital overnight for observations

I would say yes. It's already happened with Courtois when he was playing for Atletico Madrid on loan from Chelsea in 2014 Champions League SF.

UEFA made a clear statement at that time.

"It follows that any provision in a private contract between clubs which might function in such a way as to influence who a club fields in a match is null, void and unenforceable so far as UEFA is concerned."
