Scholes is a morbid wee cant what do you expect.

When I read it, I did think he was bang on about moving on from Ferguson. Ole especially needs to stop mentioning Ferguson every other day.

The Pogba stuff he said is ridiculous. The class of 92 want Pogba to do well as much as the next united fan.

You are right VC. It was exactly the same with Sir Matt, it didn't really go away until the Doc came. I don't know how you get away from it, there are still players he signed in the first team, he goes to the games, we the fans, still talk about him sing about him.
His hands are all over the club. It will take time, and probably someone else winning a big one.

Where Zlatan does have a point and it is very valid is what I call the shadow of SAF.

As 52 will also tell you, we had the same thing with Sir Matt when he retired.

The wait was more to do with success of Liverpool FC. We had some good entertaining teams and great players playing the United Way from 1969 to 1992. But they would never be able to knock Liverpool of their perch until Fergie came.

Similar to our current predicament with City.

It's a weird one, yes you need to move on in someways however. I still believe that many of the qualities that made your sides great under Fergie are part of what is missing today. The attitude on the pitch, the attitude in training and the core of long term players who are fully invested in the club.

They're all cornerstones of truly great sides that don't just win a few titles they win and compete for years.

I can fully understand wanting to retain that or get it back. When you listen to people talk about the class of 92 the stories are similar to those of how C. Ronaldo trains (extra hours, extra focus, basically going way above and beyond in terms of effort). Most players, even plenty of the top ones don't do it but it's makes a huge difference.

He is half right. Whilst a club can retain some core values of attacking football, youth development etc. football does evolve. and the club needs to evolve with it.

Where he is wrong is, most of the criticism from the likes of Neville Scholes (I assume that's who he getting at was pretty much warranted). I also don't think it comes from a place where they are angling for jobs but out of genuine love for the club. We're all fans here and we just want what is best for the club, most of us have said a lot worse that either Neville or Scholes

Yes we were in a mess up to the relegation.

But under Doc, even in the Div2 and after in the Cup, it was a joy to watch.
