DUFC News - Quick Read Version

Won a match last night against Ross County. Not enough to count as a challenge now, sadly. Some will be pleased we won, others wonโ€™t. Most wont care. I wasnโ€™t there so canโ€™t commemt on the match. Enjoy your hump day.

Some folk will say 'I am on £x in my last role and I am looking at this as a step up so I would expect the salary to reflect that' type of thing.

Some folk will pitch themselves high and say they are worth it due to the benefits they will bring to the company. And fair play to them because they are setting themselves up if they go down that road.

The risk is reduced these days in that you can basically let anyone go hassle free within 2 years.

Theres not many folk that can get through an interview, convince you they are worth the extra investment, but then hide the fact they are utter keech at their job and a bit of a to$$er for two full years.

If I am recruiting anyone at manager level or above I will always make sure I get them out for a meal and a few drinks with some of the other senior guys within a couple of weeks of them starting.

It is amazing what you find out about folks after a few beers.

Just ask them to post on an online football forum, you'll find out much more about them.

Last time I went for a job the interviewer asked me to describe myself in 2 words.
I said ‘unable to follow simple instructions ‘

'so...what's your biggest fault'?

'I'm too honest'

'I don't think you can be too honest'

'I don't give a feck what you think'
