Do we like him because he runs about a lot or because he can play, I have a mate who is a Liverpool fan and who loves the way we play and watches us on tv when he Can and as a neutral he thinks he’s useless, me I prefer Douglas at left back even though he hasn’t shone lately, don’t mind him playing in front of Douglas and can see why MB picks him

He clearly can't have watched us recently because Ali has been immense. Was superb against WBA for example.

Douglas has lost it big style. I don't like him even being on the bench now as he's shocking.

i used to wish we could get douglas into to team anywhere but he just isn't good enough.
alioski has been immense at left back. much more to him than just running around a lot.

I think Alioski has another level he can step up too, hopefully he can. If he could beat defenders more often , improve his crossing and not get caught offside as much, he could be in with the best players in this league. Workrate is second to none

He is not offside nearly as much as he used to be and this goal showed his positional sense in staying onside.

Yep absolutely his run to get into that space was fabulous but then if you watch he checks for a second to stay inside, 2 months ago that wouldn't have happened.. genuine progression and thinking

Alioski is better than Douglas and 100% deserves the left back spot right now
