This is old news. I read it ages ago that we are the most hated and personally I love it. In a perverse way it's a glowing endorsement of other people's envy and jealousy. Nobody hates for example a struggling League 2 team (apologies to any League 2 team's fans for singling them out!!) because they don't bother anybody, thwart anybody's ambitions, fack anybody up or get under anybody's skin. They just roll over when other teams play them, take their licks and everyone just tramples on them and moves on. They generate pity from the teams on the top table not hate.

It's an indicative trait of normal human behaviour IMO that when your hated you're actually achieving something and getting somewhere, because other teams hate the fact that you often seem to get what you want and they often don't. Looking at it from their point of view it must be highly infuriating.

Got to be City for me.

As much as I enjoy watching them play football, I can’t help but think about how much money has been pumped into the club over such a small period of time.

Combine that with the Etihad having empty seats pretty regularly - even in big games and you’ve got a very underserving club.

perhaps its because of the reasons you state, and don't forget that a lot of these supporters who support northern clubs,are people who have relocated here for work and other reasons ! As we know, London is a huge melting pot !

I do see your point Flashy, that was pretty racist of us to upset ze Germans that night in May 2012, when they were playing a very important Cup Final at home.

Still it's good to know that no English fans were hurt or even mildly inconvenienced by it.

Off topic for a second, congrats to Spurs on the new Stadium, it looks the nuts
