The stars have aligned.....

It's happening isn't it? 29 years are soon coming to an end.

Spurs were the better side today. Liverpool were very poor. That can’t be denied. But Liverpool did to Spurs what we did to Watford yesterday

Dunno why Liverpool fans are so scared to accept they got out of jail today thanks to a fluke goal. 3 points is 3 points. Why can’t you just show some humility and accept that you stole a victory today?
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Jeez don’t joke about them stealing things, everybody will be banned. Having said that, none of them on this forum are from Liverpool so they can’t really get offended
----------------------------------------------------------------------Where are you from then? Can’t really win as Tottenham and the surrounding area is by far the most vile part of London (although there is an Ikea tbf); anywhere else and you’re a plastic.

XG would say the same Manc Python.

But Spurs only had the better chances to score because Liverpool were bring balanced, you see. It was very subtle
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Well no, Xg will show that as they equalised late and we had to go 4-2-4, which left us open everytime they countered. XG isn't a great indication anyhow.

United would have been sixth last season if it was. Liverpool second. Coincidentally(perhaps not) the three most attacking teams would have been top three, confirming what I said earlier.

For net xG? As in goals scored and against? That's the bit you seem to struggle to understand and that crucially counteracts your extremely limited point

It can be denied and will be as it's patently not true.

It can't be denied by anyone playing with a full deck.

Overall Spurs were better than us but to say 'Liverpool were very poor today"...

Spurs had a better 2nd half but why do the events of the 1st half get superseded by this fact? It was pretty even overall. Liverpool pressure led to about 8 corners before Spurs had a shot.

As for this luck business, it is all a consequence of good attacking play and forcing opposition errors. Not like Lloris threw one into his own net for a laugh.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The goal was lucky. It was an error from the opposition, no two ways about it.

I wouldn't care if we won that way though, you need luck at times.

Yes, you would have been sixth. Liverpool second. I'm not struggling to understand it at all. You're struggling to understand that you're placing way too much importance on this stat.

Their goal was lucky as the ball was still moving when they took the free kick, another ref may have called it back. Nobody has mentioned that.

Doesn't really make it lucky. You could still have defended the goal, no? The winner was from plain awful keeping.

Doesn't it? If the quick free kick was called back we could have had defence in position. It's unlucky that it wasn't.
