Sissoko

Sums up Spurs in a nutshell. Complete and utter bottle jobs!! Spurs fans get annoyed with this label, but how can you continuously try and defend this lot when they make the same mistakes week in week out, season in season out.

Sissoko through on goal to win the game looked like he was about to s*** himself. You could see he has no confidence with his own ability infront of goal as he was desperately trying to look for Son, even though he literally had the goal right infront of him. He had no choice but to shoot and we can all guess the ball was going to end up in row Z. Never even got out my seat, as I knew it was going nowhere the moment he was through on goal.

He has really improved this season, but when we really needed him most he completely bottled it. It’s why he’s not good enough to be starting in our midfield next season. Moments like that are moments that win you titles, trophies etc etc, we just don’t have the minerals, bottle or quality in our ranks to go that extra step. We make the same mistakes every single week and we are in serious danger of really Spursing up our CL hopes. 0 wins in 5 is unacceptable. 10 losses in the league all season is unacceptable.

I wont disagree with that it just annoys the hell out of me that the likes of Eriksen has been allowed to stroll through the last 10 or 12 games with "the experts" still calling him the "Great Dane" or our "free kick specialist".

He annoys me far more because he has the ability and does not care one way or another.

Eriksen has had an underwhelming season and if anybody is crazy enough to offer 130mil for him then I'm happy to drive him to the airport.

On Eriksen,... yes he's gone missing in too many recent games, like today.
But if he keeps that up he will not be getting the offers he thinks he's going to get ... like Real Madrid.

On Sissoko,..... I thought he was one of the better players on Spurs side of the pitch today. At least he was capable of running thru their midfield and carrying the ball into their half ... not like our back bunch playing footsy with Lloris and moving the ball nowhere fast.
Sissoko ain't paid to score goals, but yes he should have scored that one, after all he is a paid professional. But you can ask why Son was the only Spurs player up there with Sissoko when he ran through their middle. Where was Kane? Where was Eriksen or Alli?
Are they not capable of running too?
Is the team not trained to turn defense into attack?

Let’s be honest about it, he’s a donkey.
-------------------------------------------------------------------

But at least he is an honest donkey that cares whether we win or lose which cant be said for all our players can it?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I’m not disagreeing but all of us on here care if we win or lose, you wouldn’t play us in the centre of the park. The point being, honest pro or not he’s not the level of player we need if we’re to compete at the highest level, as evidenced today when he had an opportunity to win a huge game for us and failed embarrassingly.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Thats it, he just shut his eyes and hit it as hard as he could with no hint of technique whatsoever.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
i was actually surprised he made contact.... i was expecting a "fresh air" shot resulting in him left in a heap on the turf with the other 21 players falling around laughing... joke of a player... he's a championship/ bottom of the prem standard.... all power and pace with no skil or technique... wouldn't look out of place at Cardiff or Huddersfield

Sissoko should have scored, no excuses, but he was one of our better players, and gave his all. Absolutely no criticism from me.

Lloris as well, sure he dropped another clanger, but we all seem to have very short memories, over the last month or so, he saved a pen against Arsenal, saved a pen against Leicester, and kept us in the tie at Dortmund, when we were getting overrun.

That miss was nothing to do with Bottle, Don. Sissoko has missed sitters before when we've been cruising. He just can't finish.

I don't know how people can work out that it's 100% Lloris's fault, when one of our players misses a sitter to stand a great chance of winning the game i.e. earn 3 points as opposed to 1 point. They both facked up.

Really bad misses should be up there with really bad goalkeeping as far as I'm concerned. That said, Sissoko had a better game overall than Lloris did.

The defence has to take its fair share of the blame as well, both of their goals came from headers where the marking was non existent.

That's true. It's a team effort although those 2 moments were the most individualistic mistakes from our team in that match and that's why they're being singled out.
