Last night Spurs finally slipped down

a place in the Prem from 3rd to 4th, investable really after picking up just one point out of 15, may even slip down to 5th after tonight. I suspect though that this will only be temporary, and within a week or two will be back in 3rd position.

With hardly a peep our of Arsenal fans for two or three years now, Arsenal will no doubt have the bunting out like they did in early December, the DVDs are on the go as we speak, and they are even putting up articles on the board about celebrating the day they finish above Spurs. I suspect however come the end of the season, they will once again finish below Spurs, but we will see. Here are my unbiased assessment of how the season will unfold last seven matches. Well almost unbiased.

Spurs still seem to have the advantage of the other teams in that they have all those home games to play, and whilst one or two may be potential banana skins, I fully expect them to win all five. They do however have to play City three times, but have written off the away Prem game, leaving the way for a bit of a free hit in the CL, with not to difficult a Prem programme to negotiate. Time to get the goal average up again with all those home games, could be worth an extra point at the end of the season.

Arsenal have not been brilliant on the road, and although they have none of the so called big boys to play, they still have very tricky games at Everton, Leicester, Wolves and Watford, and even Burnley, so cannot see them winning more than two of those games, if that, especially as they will have a double header against Napoli to contend with as well.

Man United have a real tough run in, two of the biggies still to play, plus Wolves and Everton away, and also a double header with Barcelona to come. The OGS new manager feel may also have worn off.

Chelsea have a reasonable easy home run, but their away games are very difficult, and they may also be putting all their eggs into one basket and going for the Europa League, as the easiest way to qualify for the CL.

This is all going to make for a very interesting end to the season, where so many of the big issues are still looking so open. Who is going to win the Prem? Who will finish Top Four? Will a British side win the CL. Will a British side win the Europa League. I have to say I have not known a season like this were so many of the trophies, places in the CL are still up for grabs this late in the season, with so many contenders.

Haven't you guys got a double header against City also in there.

Playing City 3 times
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Yeh the double header is in the CL, the league game I have written off already, but the CL two games I think Spurs will come out on top of.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Trouble is, if Spurs get past City in the Champions League (BIG if) then that means an extra 2 games later on, which will impact performances in what should be 3-point bankers.

This teams heads have completely gone. They have proven time and time again that they have NO bottle. They will not finish fourth now. I actually think they will finish sixth.

I’ve got just over 6/1 for them to bottle it against palace tomorrow at the new ground. Free money.

To summarize the OP, optimism is a feeling only reserved for fans of teams that play in white.

I really can't see Arsenal losing any of their remaining games. They'll be running on rocket fuel and why? Because of us of course. Even Chelsea. All because of us! Mark my words!

Sandy,
If switching your focus to Arsenal relieves some of the awful pain the collapse of Spurs is inflicting upon you, then go for it!
