Anybody really enjoyed this season ???

Before I get battered for being super negative.... I'm hopeful of top 4 (though terrified of missing out) excited about the new stadium and defo have high hopes for the future/ next season etc..... BUT I dunno about you guys but I've hated this year.

Granted, living abroad I haven't felt forced to make trip home to go to Wembley and all the aggro that comes with it, but there just feels something wrong about this year from start to finish.

We've discussed the lack of transfers, pre season WC hangover & injuries, spec re our best players/manager to death. There's just been something about this year where I haven't felt the same joy as seeing Spurs win and have started to feel indifferent about some of the mind boggling losses that used to send me into fits of range. Maybe its because the wins are more frequent but in a very un-spurs way, more functional & less exciting.... Who'd a thought a few years ago, Spurs would be able to grind out wins when not playing well

There was something about this squad (which is near enough unchanged) that a few years ago I was really energized by & also by the energy that Poch seemed to have for the whole thing. Now things just feel a little stale.Maybe its because the growth to become a top 4 challenger was new & exciting and now it really looks like we've fallen short of the prizes

Maybe its just me but maybe I can only watch Trips & Hugo make the same boneheaded mistakes over & over again, wondering whether I've been wrong about Sissoko all along, will Lamela will ever be seen anywhere, other than @ Spurs Lodge Or wondering how we will find a new way to throw away a good result at a top 6 rival.

Maybe you can only watch the same things over & over again for so long. Don't get me wrong, I'll always love Spurs but Levy, do me favor, give me some different faces to crush me & ruin my weekends !

Maybe next year Nike can get their act together and not give us a kit that looks like the Players are running around with their shorts half way down their ar5es..... Its completely lop-sided... much like our season.... all a bit off

To be fair, we have had a taste of what it must be like to be a Spurs fan this term....I haven't liked what i've seen whatsoever.

Could be worse, we could be Portsmouth fans that also support Chelsea.

I'm hoping ENIC will now sell Spurs to some billionaire with ambition.
I see no other possible solution.
The team peaked two seasons ago when Rose and Walker were booming down the wings, ....downhill slowly ever since.
The only other possibility to save this season is to beat ManCity in the CL.
Can anyone see that happening?
Nope? Then sale is the only other option.

For the record .....

"Chairman Daniel Levy believes Tottenham now have a stadium that can make them one of the biggest clubs in the world.

Spurs open their new £1bn stadium on Wednesday night against Crystal Palace.

At 62,000, the capacity of the new ground is almost double that of White Hart Lane.

"Winning is both on the pitch and off the pitch, so we are going to keep going until we get both right," said Levy.

"I would say that in the last 18 years, this club has definitely gone forward and clearly, like any business, any club, you have your ups and downs.

"When I took over the club, Tottenham was not a club that was a regular European challenger. Clearly, we are now and my dream is obviously to win. We want to win." "

Oh yes ...."we want to win" but ....nothing about spending on new players!
Put your wallet where your mouth is , Levy!
