This is why.


Taking some Dutch folk on the Loch Lomond Hills today.

Logistics meant we walked over to Cardross station 4 train

stops back to minibus.

Standing there waiting and a couple of wee herries smoking

on the opposite platform.

Assumed we were all tourists and one shouted over at me how come

you got grey hair and you can still go on hills?

I went to default and said how come your face is like my rse

ya plooky wee boot?

Dutch fella assumed this was the famed ‘Scots converse naturally

with folk they don’t know’ thing.

He asked what was said and I mumbled some banal shyyte.

Meanwhile her wee pal says to her ‘shuttit he’ll come ower

and kick oor kvnts in’.


Thankfully their Helensburgh bound train pulled in then.


What would you have done?

I have a feeling the wee lassies actually came over and mugged Quinny, went through all his trouser pockets and he got a wee stiffy, they pointed and laughed and ran away then 5 minutes later quinny shouted ‘ya plooky wee boot’

Admin I remember that..

There's a wee council estate at the entrance to Glen Nevis.

The neds there are the match of those in any city in the UK.

Luckily their numbers are few.

I’ve tried to change. I don’t like the reputation that’s been built up over these kind of interactions.

I tend to now just quote the relevant section I think is rubbish...

It’s all Shiite since Roy Orbison died.
