A message from the Chairman

https://www.tottenhamhotspur.com/news/2019/april/chairmans-message/

This was pre-game tonight. Found it on Reddit. What has happened to ja606, where is everyone??

Apparently it Snowed tonight? Considering the Rainbow at The Lane on the last day you can't make this stuff up. Very emotional this evening. The fact we didn't score in the first half, then my child who has a fascination with Korea (Japan, Anime, etc) prior to this game had no interest in football. I told her there was a Korean playing - Son - and she got right into the screen. And then just like that Son scored! Another reaffirmation. This was reminiscent of me watching Spurs for the first time with my Grandad who was THFC through and through, Hoddle became my favorite player and then we won the FA Cup in 1981. The rest is history...

THE GAME IS ABOUT GLORY!

Yes, read that earlier, superb statement from Levy, a great read.

Absolutely. Very humbling and brings it all to the table. Straight up tells it like it is, holds nothing back. Doesn't mince his words like those in politics and such. Much respect to this gentleman.

That's a really good statement from the Chairman

There's so much to be admired by the whole project at Tottenham. (This is from someone who laughed as hard as anyone when you were often a comedy club in the 90s/early 00s).

The stadium looks incredible and what Levy says about the delays leading to better outcomes in the end doesn't seem like the spin these sorts of statements often are.

Results wise the club is punching way above its weight given the resources being spent on the side. Yes it hasn't yet led to a major title but there's only two and you'll come up against incredible clubs with far more resources as well as soulless clubs playing by different billionaire rules - an almost impossible goal to master consistently on your current budget.

Will be interesting to see what happens now the stadium is built and whether this will allow extra investment in the side which is needed to take it to the next level.

I like what Hoddle says in the post match analysis about the reason we need to win trophies as a stepping stone. Very insightful vision of wisdom

That was a superb read, thanks for sharing. The stadium really is epic. Well done Mr Chairman.

Now buy us a few midfielders and full backs so we can win those trophies! 😎

Great statement and credit to Levy and the board for this excellent stadium, but no f** excuses anymore I want to see investment this summer. Would be a travesty if we go another summer messing around trying to get players and not signing anyone.
