All the press going with same story today including the more reliable BBC and less so SSN. Sounds like club briefing to me.
A few we kind of knew were going more than likely but we could see a few more.
Fellaini (left in January)
Herrera
Mata
Valencia
Rojo
Darmian
Sanchez
There's only Herrera in that list that bothers me. I'd like him to stay ideally but seems like he could have priced himself out of a new contract with us sadly.
Same sources are also saying United won't sell Pogba this summer and that the club are still confident DDG will renew. Maybe we are getting wages off the books to keep both of our star players long term. Hope so.
Be interesting to see who actually leaves and who we bring in. A lot might depend on where we finish in the league too.
Sancho, Wan Bissaka, Rice, Rabiot, Koulibally, Hudson Odoi are the names being most heavily linked to us. Not that means much these days. There are always surprises in the works.
Summer clear out - Sounds like a briefing

Neves and Saul would be my top shouts for midfield recruitment.
---------------Saul
-------Neves ------Pogba
Chong---------------------Martial
------------Rashford
Juicy.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I'm not quite getting the constant bigging up on Chong. I'm not saying he won't make it but he certainly doesn't look ready for our first team.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Same here. Happy for him to be involved and get a chance here and there but I haven't seen anything remarkable from him as yet in the u23's to think he's going to be in our first 11 next season. Not even close actually.
Happy for Garner, Chong, Gomes, Tuanzebe, Greenwood to get a chance though. We've got loads of deadwood that they can't possibly do any worse than and they are home grown lads who aren't costing us fortunes a week.

Surely Matic is a candidate to go...dunno why you even bought him really

I will give you a clue.
He has managed both our clubs.

Who on earth is going to take Sanchez?
..................
This will be purely down to Sanchez. If Ole tells him he is not part of his future plans then he either takes a wage cut, or doesn't play football for the rest of his career.

James Ducker () Tweeting:
Solskjaer wants a right back, CB, forward and, depending on futures of Herrera and Mata, one or two midfielders. Not actually pursuing a GK this summer as De Gea won't be sold and they want/hope he'll sign a new deal. Out of contract at the end of next season #MUFC

We properly need a Football Manager-esque window this summer.
Valencia, Darmian, Mata and Herrera appear certs to go on free transfers.
Maybe we can swap Sanchez for Carrasco with whatever Chinese club he is with. It wasn't wages where they were reined in on it was transfer fees having a massive tax.
One of Bailly/Rojo will be going - Alderweireld for £25m
We should have signed Tielemans when he left Anderlecht so he needs snapped up. £40m
There are a bunch of free transfers we should be targeting ourselves to flesh out the squad again as the marquee forward and CB we want will cost a fortune. We need full backs too.
(Hector Herrera and Brahimi from Porto, Giroud, David Luiz, Godin)

Sounds like the media have been briefed that we are looking for British/Home based players mainly.

Can't see Sanchez giving up that wage. He'll probably get a fifth of that anywhere else and he is 31 this year.
He went to United for a huge final pay day. Why would he give that up? It's not like he'll sign for Madrid and win trophies. Its probably downhill from here if he leaves United.

For the love of playing football. If he isn't art of the managers plans then it comes down to leaving or not playing football.
Bastian Schweinsteiger is an example of this. He wasn't in Joses plans so left for MLS instead of not playing football.

Good point, fair enough.
Schweini got half of what he got at United when he moved to the states.
Can't see anyone doing that for Sanchez. That's why it's such a crazy deal. No one will pay Sanchez half of his United wages, will they?
