I know there is many a good traveller among you on this site.
I'm off with the family to Nice, Cannes and Monaco a week on Monday.
Doing all the major sightseeing, and looking forward to the F1 route in Monaco.
Has anyone been or have any recommendations?

I remember it being stupidly expensive but a nice place in all.
Quite low on the list of places I have enjoyed visiting in France, perhaps the nostalgia of my childhood holidays skews my view though.

Went to Nice 2 years ago, really enjoyed it. The old town is great to stroll round and have drinks and some good food. Train along to Monaco is a good day out, we went a week or so after the F1 so all the stands were still there. We did the open top hop on bus which is good for getting up to the palace and the casino.

If you've got a hire car, get up into Provence on some day trips.
Far more picturesque, authentic, rustic, affordable, interesting and, well, French than the Côte d'Azur, which is largely full of pricks.
There are scores of beautiful little villages and vineyards to visit. I'd recommend my favourite of all, Gordes.

There is loads to see on the Cote d'Azur, I like Menton a lot, plus you can get trains into Italy for a day out.
Monaco is the place for petrol heads, Rollers, Lambos, Ferraris etc.
Old part of Nice.
But generally I'm with Rosso, love Provence and go most years. Lot's of places I love there.
