Pogba wants 500k a week to renew

That's the gossip this morning in the greatest drama in the country known as Manchester United.

I have to admit I'm torn on this one. Part of me wants him to stay but if that's the case about his wage request then I'd possibly cash in this summer and take advantage of Madrid's dire need to invest. We could get serious cash for him and he's simply not consistent enough for us for whatever reason. On his day he's a world beater but last 6/7 games he's gone back to not running as much, poor touches etc. Don't know if it's attitude problem or he's just got his heart elsewhere.

£140m I'd say would be the minimum we'd ask for in this day and age. If we got that we could buy 2-3 players with that and move on. He's not irreplaceable. None of this squad are in truth.

Keep or sell? How do we all feel?

For £500k a week he can go.

Annoying thing with Pogba is that he doesn't seem to understand what he does well.

He is good at;
1) Making runs into the box
2) He is a good finisher
3) early passes in behind defences
4) driving runs forward

He prefers to try and be some kind of flair play maker when the player I think he would be best moulding himself on would be Frank Lampard in the finial third and Toure in the middle third.

I think hes got a very similar skill set to Gerrard.

Just none of the attitude.

He also has the most nauseating goal celebration in football.

Hazard n Pogba are both signing for Madrid this summer. Absolutely nailed on I reckon.

Pogba and De Gea going to Madrid then?

Pogba still has 2 years left on his contract plus a one year extension option we can trigger. He isn't going anywhere this summer, if De Gea doesn't want to sign then he should be sold now. The BBC though have reported that United are confident he will sign.

We shouldn't be selling any of our best players this season, we still have five other areas in the first 11 that need improving. It will be an impossible task if Ole also has to replace some of our very best.

With one more year on their deals, Spurs should be worried about Erikson, Toby & Vert

In terms of consistency, I've posted on another thread asking for someone to name me a player anywhere in the world who plays in Pogba's role (or a similar one) and who delivers consistently top quality perormances.

I have posted on another thread to name me someone who delivers consistent bad ones as well.

And there is the issue with Pogba. He is either an 8 out of 10 or a 2 out of 10. There is rarely an average performance from him.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Firstly, I'd say 2/10 would be an exaggeration. I can't remember him putting in what I'd describe as a 2/10 game for us.

Secondly, I'd argue that the likes of Alli, Ozil, Barkley, Ramsey, Moutinho, Fernandes, etc. put in very comfortably their fair share of very average games.

Even over time it's hard to pick out playmakers across Europe in advanced midfield roles who have so consistently produced at a high level. They are incredibly, incredibly rare.

And I would argue against that when it comes to Fernandes given what I've seen and what I know about him this season.
