48 team World Cup is no more games than the 32 for a finalist. 1 less group game 1 more knockout.

More games the merrier for me.

I was one of the few that preferred the two qualifying group stages.

Not a fan of knockout formats either, leagues demonstrate quality of squad/team/club far better.

Look at last year, the quality of Real v the iffyness of the opposition. And the seasons Monaco, Porto, and/or the year the cheating gooners made it. Not real quality.

Nope, bring on more matches to sort out the wheat from the chaff

Would I like to see more European giants play at OT? Of course, they're the games you look forward to.

I would assume only top 2 teams make KO stages?

If it meant scrapping international breaks I’d probably go for it!

I don't care about european football. The premier league is the best for m. Madrid, Barça, Bayern and Juve are pushing for this as their leagues are a joke.

What a load of sheesite.la liga is just as good as the prem.

Rather watch games vs Wolves Villa Newcastle Everton etc in full stadiums with the away game banter that comes with it than watching games in empty stadiums vs Bate, Midgitland, and Dukla Prague etc

I'd rather see the European competitions disappear completely than domestic football compromised by the introduction of an elite European league.

For me, the European Cup should be just that - a knockout competition. I'd much prefer to see a competition more closely resembling a European-wide FA Cup including both the continent's best and qualifying minnows.

The only reason it's being suggested is the other clubs are afraid of the financial power of the English clubs. Domestically, the big European clubs can't compete with the PL. So they want what is basically a European league to redress the balance
