What's your gut feeling 6 games to go?

After the high of last week to the low of today, what's your gut feeling? 2nd or 3rd?

My gut feeling is we will win promotion on the last day against Ipswich, will be neck and neck till then but Sheff Utd won't cope well with the pressure of being 2nd.

Why do you do that Jonny?

Why can't people have a sensible discussion without you having to make that sort of comment?

Who are these whingers who are silent when we win? Why not name some names? I've been pretty vocal about how well we've done all season, how impressed I've been with Bielsa etc, so you're surely not referring to myself, so instead of mud slinging why not say who you are referring to?

Haha you lot. I agree with you all

We've had an amazing season. Its been fantastic to watch and way better than anything we've seen for years.

However, we really do need to go up now

God knows what may happen at seasons end if we fail to get promoted.....Bielsa, Roofe, Pontus etc

But then there is the youngsters we have unearthed. Very exciting group coming through

Fingers crossed for the next few weeks

It’s boring, same old same old, when we have a poor result.

It’s not a sensible discussion.

There were many here who doubted Bielsa would last a month, 3 months, until Christmas, yada, yada, yada.

Let’s try something different once in awhile and if not possible move onto the next article.

It’s just repetitive and divisive.

Halme has played first team football this season. Edmondson has been on fire for the youth team. Davis has played first team football and usurped Pearce's position in the team. Hossanah and Temenuzkhov have looked good for the U23s I believe. Miazek has made the matchday squad.

That enough for you?

I think a lot of the youngsters brought in from abroad are a work in progress. I don't/didn't expect to see instant progression into the 1st team. They have undoubtedly contributed to a highly successful season for the U23s - i'd not be bringing them into any frustration about how the 1st team season is going.

I think everyone agrees squad has done well, especially compared to last season, but the point is, the quality of teh players is down to orca and for all the masses of players we brought in last season and the players signed last summer, we are struggling to keep pace with auto promotion that seemed nailed on.

Someone has to take responsibility for the calibre and success rate of signings, which I personally think is the single most important factor for us being 3rd and not 2nd or even 1st right now and that person is not Bielsa but Orta.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The quality of players brought in has had us in the top 6 all season. Managed by a guy who knows a trick or two, many of the "duds" from seasons past have flourished and become real assets.

Just a personal view, but I think some of the players are carrying knocks - we just don't have the 1st team squad depth to accommodate it, so some are back playing before ready. Bamford i'm convinced came back to early due to necessity and has struggled as a result. Missing chances is clearly affecting him, just a vicious circle thing for me. He's a decent player, just having a (prolonged) period of frustration in front of goal.

Some haven't produced for sure, mostly the loans. Brown was a calculated gamble, which has failed for me. Blackstock broke his leg, so hard to assess properly. Harrison shows glimpses, but isn't really a threat out wide - and doesn't really provide much in terms of assists.

We're all frustrated, I know I am, about slipping into 3rd at this stage, but very few if any would have turned down 3rd, 1 point behind 2nd, with 6 games to go at the start of the season.

I definitely dread playoffs mind you - right now I can't see passed Villa winning that against anyone.

Think the squad have done wonders under MB but still feel the January window was a missed opportunity.

Watched Norwich versus QPR on saturday and was very impressed how they brushed QPR aside.

Truly believe that a slight freshening up of quality in January would have made a difference and bad days at the office i.e Brum and QPR wouldnt have happened.

Also one thing that is glaringly obvious is we are far too reliant on Pablo.

Anyway we are not done yet by any means so heres hoping.

VOF I’m over the moon we’re in third based on where I thought we’d be Pre season.

The point im making is transfer business in summersbd Jan has let us down. You’re right re some injuries and that again goes back to transfer business and that is aortas responsibility.

This is not doom and gloom it’s not whinging about everything at the club, it’s not same old after each defeat etc, we’ve had plenty of defeats and been circumspect about them. But right now we’re losing to mediocre teams like qpr and Brum at a time when our rivals are stepping up the pace so a defeat to Birmingham is suddenly more pivotal. We now have a much harder run in than Sheff U, and it’s deflating after a season of missed chances and promise.

I’m glad we have Bielsa at the helm, just hope for fit squad for last 6 games.

it's giving my aorta palpitations at the moment !!!

We all have different views on the last 2 transfer windows, agreeing to disagree is probably best. I think elements were good and bad, some worked out, some haven't.

Jan i'm more disappointed with, although Casilla was a great bit of business. The kid from Swansea was a combination of errors, but ultimately his own club put the biggest spanner in the works. He was at the club having a medical, so most of the transfer was sorted you'd have to imagine.

I think our ability to lose anymore matches has all but disappeared now. We have to assume Sheff U will keep picking up points, so we really can't rely on them to lose a couple or more.

It's squeaky bum time, last 6 games and still loads to play for. Haven't said that for probably a decade or more!!!
