Wenger.

There's far too many of Wenger's bottlers in this squad for it to be a coincidence. Last season away from home we were pathetic and lo and behold this season we've been almost as bad.

And if you look at the comparison between home and away form it highlights what a mentally weak squad this is.

Emery has to share a lot of blame too. Some of his team selections have been baffling. Imo he's been needlessly over cautious in some away games which mentally has hamstrung us.

You can't go around slagging off the same squad of players that has turned the Emirates into a veritable fortress over at least 2 seasons.

Our away form is obviously down to either a tactical or psychological problem.

I like Emery. But he's going to have to come up with a solution over the summer.

Well it’s the away games that show the true mettle of a player in EPL.
I would rather have had players in the championship in the positions Mustafi, Ozil and Elneny played today. They were that abject. The squad is terrible.
In his last five years Wenger bought players to prove everybody wrong instead of what the team needed.

I agree with all of that.

All except the Mustafi part. I thought he put in a decent shift today. Even covered up for AMN after he lost his head in the second half.

And please, please, please Ozil should never start an away for the remainder of his time here.
Can’t think of cissier wimp!

We lost the game.....certainly we should blame Wenger for this. Last game it was an Emery team that won us the game.

Who argued otherwise about the set-up and tactics? The OP was clearly talking about the weak squad Wenger left - and your squad determines your "set up and tactics". Yet you somehow sought to make it out like Wenger's legacy is inconsequential to the current manager. That would clearly be a nonsensical assertion.

The board need to give Emery the transfer kit he needs to transform this squad into his own, that's the only way to move on from Wenger's legacy. Otherwise we will never move on from the lame ducks Wenger left us, and it will always provide an excuse to blame Wenger for any bad result.
