Apparently he thinks Messi is City's biggest problem for them achieving a quadruple.
The assumption on this guy!
That is a pretty bold prediction to be fair, dismissing ourselves, United, Juventus, or Liverpool getting near them.
It's going to be tough for us tomorrow but we have half a chance, and I hope the players take all this talk of us not having a chance, and the other teams dismissed at the hands of City getting a quadruple, on board. Wouldn't it be funny after all the incessant talk of it, if City were to end up with just a League Cup? I get that that means Liverpool will have won the league, but still.

I think Spurs have got a very good chance of getting through. Although it wasn’t a tough game on Saturday and we basically played the game out for 85 minutes of it, we still had a lot of players who will play again on Tuesday. More than that recovery time though, we haven’t had the preparation time that Spurs have had either.
I wouldn’t be surprised at all to see a Spurs win tomorrow, or in the overall tie.

Why are City fans schit?
Much rather a club with a solid fanbase of 30k in league 1 but can't sell out their home ground now. Doesn't make them schit.

They are schit, this isn't a debate. This is factual.

I think Spurs should rest their players for the CL games and go all out for the PL game.

Think we'll win tomorrow but won't be enough unless we have a Dortmund away performance at the Etihad which I don't see us doing as you have more teeth than them.

I seen a decent bit in the Guardian that summed up this whole quadruple situation well for me.
"This Manchester City side are arguably the finest England has seen, engaged in one of the closest title races of modern times and edging ever closer to an unprecedented season of success. Strange then that watching them in action can be such an uninspiring experience. In the victory over Brighton, much like in the wins against Cardiff and Fulham that preceded it, City scored almost immediately before coasting through the game in third gear, the tight scoreline belying an arm’s-length victory. A similar bloodlessness marked the 7-0 rout of Schalke last month. In this sense City are their own worst enemies, so good as to render almost every game a non-contest. As criticisms go, it’s probably not one to keep Pep Guardiola awake at night – especially as, on their own merits, his side are an authentically thrilling spectacle. For the neutrals, though, the question remains: if City do go on to win the quadruple, will we be awake to see it? Alex Hess"
I couldn't agree more, there is nothing about that club that excites me.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
They are nowhere near the best team ever seen in the British Isles, I can think of a dozen club sides that were all better just off the top of my head.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Nonsense
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yeah sorry Sandy but that is nonsense. To say they're nowhere near when they got 100 points last season and are in the running for a quad this season in April. Come on now!
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I would sooner have watched
The Busby Babes
Tottenham Double Team
Man United with Best Charlton and Law
Celtic of the mid 1960s
Liverpool of the 1970s/80s
Man United under Fergie
Chelsea when they won back to back Prems
etc, etc
all of those sides won European Trophies as well, something, despite all their money, City have not done.
all far, far better sides than the current City side.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Agree.

People would care if it was United, Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea or Spurs closing in on a quadruple.
With City it's like okay the state sponsored oil club have outspent everyone else, bought a manager most think of as the best in the World.
Almost feels like it's not even that special achievement because of all the asterix's you would need.
Also nobody wants schit fans to win anything, especially as a neutral.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I would say it's more because there's fans of all of those clubs in most people's social/work circles meaning any of those clubs doing it would make the summer a nightmare for the rest, where-as with City that isn't really the case, it may be in ten years time when people born 2002 on (ie those with access to Sheik era City in their formative years meaning many came attached to them over one of us lot) become adults.

Like Shearer is "entitled". What did he ever do in the CL in his playing career. Did he even play in it ( or European Cup as was ) ???
Certainly could give about as much for his opinion as Messi no doubt does.

I'm sure Newcastle were CL regulars in the late 90s/early 00's although I could be wrong.

He played in it for Blackburn. I don't think they last long though?
