Just seen this debate rear it’s head on Twitter again.
For me the hole in one should not be in the equation. It’s a once off shot. There are many factors and luck to a hole in one such as wind, break on the green etc.
Many terrible golfers will get a hole in one. A bad darts player will never get a 9 nor will a bad snooker player get a 147.
It’s a tough one between the 9 and 147 imo. Many argue that a 147 is tougher because there’s more shots and time involved and I can see their point but I would also argue that it is easier to pot a snooker ball than it is to hit a treble or double in darts.
Maybe it’s because I’m a darts lover but the 9 darter just shades it for me.

Probably best to compare a nine darter to a total clearance rather than a 147, which does involve luck with the run of the reds.

The 147 and 9 darter are pure skill.

Have to disagree. 147 and a nine darter is not "pure skill". I've hit a 9 darter when pi$$ed up. I've got relatively close to a 147, with loads of luck on the way.
Never played golf and don't watch it. So can't comment on it.

how can a 9 darter be a fluke. You have to hit the correct strips in the right order.
You can fluke a snooker shot.

None of them are sports, but at least darts and snooker are relatively enjoyable GAMES to partake in.
Playing golf on the other hand is akin to listening to paint dry .......
....... and watching golf is akin to watching someone listening to paint drying.

I used to play snooker with a pro, Jim Meadowcroft. Don't think I saw him get over 120 in a match, and not often in practice.
