Very good result and the clean sheet is always a bonus.

Here are my ratings.

Alisson - 6.5 made a vital save in the first half but had a few shaky moments. Starting to see these more of late.

Trent - 7 made some basic mistakes first half but much improved second

Virgil - 7 my commentary team would’ve had you believe Virgil had a bad game tonight but I thought he dealt well with most situations and against a dangerous forward.

Lovren - 7 Was tempted to give a 6.5 but considering his time out the team, I thought he did ok. Few moments of concern in first half but did what was asked of him.

Milner - 7 Mr versatile did a good job filling in for Robertson.

Henderson - 8 followed his impressive substitute appearance with a determined performance. This is more like it.

Fabinho - 6.5 didn’t do much wrong but thought he was a bit off tonight.

Keita - 7 starting to show a bit more of the player we were promised and bagged himself another goal. Still plenty of room for improvement

Firmino - 7 got his goal and showed some nice footwork. Should’ve had another.

Mane - 7 no goal for Sadio tonight but always made himself available

Salah 6.5 I thought Mo had a frustrating night. Worked the fullback all night but his decision making and finishing was off. Should’ve scored too and could’ve set a few others up instead of going for his cut inside and curl.

Origi - did well. Looked dangerous

Sturridge - didn’t have time to make impact

Shaq - come on Jurgen, give the lad a bloody game will ya
