Palace away

Shamelessly moving on to discuss our weekend fixture early - what more is there to say about last night?!

I didn't realise Bernardo was injured, we really missed him yesterday. I think he is supposed to be back in time for Wednesday, either way he or Kevin De Bruyne have to start that fixture, and it is these complications which make the selection for a tough away at Crystal Palace a bit more interesting.

Zinchenko is set to return for the Spurs league game, or possibly the derby. That leaves us exposed at LB as Delph's form of last season is well and truly dust in the wind, and Mendy who notched up a healthy 79 mins at Wembley would surely be fancied for the Champions League fixture in order to pepper the Spurs box - I'm not sure his glass bones would stand up to two games in such quick succession, but I'm also not sure there is another option...

Obviously Ederson took a bit of a hit last night, hopefully it's just the sort of knock that'll be worn off within a couple of days. He had a really good game otherwise. And Walker at RB is probably the only other question mark really. Danilo has actually played pretty well lately, Walker on the other hand continues to blow hot and cold over 90 minutes for me, but if indeed he does just need a run of games as he claims, then I give him the nod.

Three points is an absolute must, we are followed by what is on paper, Liverpool's toughest remaining fixture, although Chelsea could easily turn up in self destruct mode.

Sane Sergio Sterling
Silva Fernandinho KDB
Mendy Laporte Stones Walker
Ederson

Not really. I’ll be a little bit sad we didn’t win the league. But I’d applaud City if we finish second to them on 90 odd points and a couple of points behind.

Would you be gutted if you did the same?

It’s been such a hotly contested title race, and only getting more intense. It will be absolutely gutting if we fall short. Sure will reflect on a good season after a bit, but not straight away!

Do you a deal. We’ll win the league, you win the CL, everyone is happy.

Ha. Fecked it going away to Spurs, let alone if we have to go to Turin 😂

Still reckon you’ll go through.

Ok the sweetener is United fans are definitely not happy. And I’ll throw in a bottle of single malt.

Partial to an Ardbeg. Usually Dalmore 15 or 18 though. Never tried Tesco but if it’s anything like their own brand lager 🤢
