It was an ill-conceived idea from the players that the management didn't have the common sense to put a stop to.

And the players chose to ignore the majority of fans who took a much more moderate view?

And you believe this over the idea that the players came up with a stupid idea that management didn't have the sense to stop. You must believe Liverpool have real influence on the squad and board room.
